Ride Like a Girl is a women’s only all skills mountain bike ride held every Tuesday evening at 6:00pm, usually at Lake Crabtree County Park. Check the Meetup page to confirm and sign up.

COVID-19 advisory

Most TORC group activity is on hold for the moment. We are starting to have some socially distant workdays and small group rides, but not much. So it’s especially important to check the meetup page these days.

All women are invited to join these rides regardless of skill, speed, or fitness level.

These are no drop rides, meaning no rider is left behind. We will divide up into groups to include beginner/casual, intermediate and advanced. So you can be sure that whether this is your very first ride or your 3000th ride, there will be a group for you, regardless of your speed or skill level. Each group will have a leader and a sweeper.

Speed and distance of each group will vary depending on the desires of each group.

Come Help

The group ride leadership is always looking for more ladies to help lead groups. These ladies would lead and sweep intermediate and advanced groups. You do not have to commit to every week.

Ride Like a Girl is more than a weekday group ride

In the summer of 2018, RLAG went on a field trip to Warrior Creek in Wilkesboro, NC. They camped for a weekend of spectacular singletrack at Kerr Scott Lake. Over 40 miles of amazing singletrack surrounds the lake, and the system was named an IMBA Epic in 2011.

RLAG reserved 2 campsites to allow for a total of 12 women and unlimited tents. Excellent bathrooms and showers were a short walk from campsites. And the Warrior Creek trailhead was about 50 feet from the campsites. They also made arrangements to meet ladies who drove in for a day of riding, instead of camping.
